Hi guys,
Just a note to say that anybody who catches a bass, please, keep it and call us because we need to remove as many as we can from the lake. I can provide you with a bucket or keep it in your landing net. This is the only way at the moment that I can hope to control the population of spotted bass which have been introduced here since I have had the lake, without my knowledge.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

After talking to you regarding the bass problem I have done quite a bit of research regarding spotted bass and I can not see that they provide any more of a threat than the ordinary black bass. They have smaller mouths and thus tend to take smaller fish as food. Also they have a maximum size only half that of black bass with an average size of less than twelve inches.
OK you do not want too many of them in the lake but I do not think that they are a major problem
