Hi guys,
I would like some response to the idea that I have for my next match. I suggest 1 rod per angler (the same one) for the whole match. You can only use a 2nd rod if the 1st one breaks. Also 4 or 5 baits maximum with a limit on quantity. I feel this would level the match and could be fun. Please, let me know your opinion.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I agree with only one rod being in use at any one time in a match but you must permit an angler to switch tactics between surface, float and bottom fishing if he feels this is needed. These all require different rods to be effective so they must be available if required.
As far as the number of baits available, if you mean such things as corn, bread, meat, pellets etc. then I agree that four or five alternatives should be enough for anyone. What sort of limit were you thinking of regarding groundbait?
